When we think that we have discovered lots of things It's when we realize that there is an undiscovered island which means an unexplored territory, That is how I felt this week when Monday morning I read about what we had to do, Sincerely I've never heard about the ABCD method, but I think I will use it for all my classes, it gives us a nearer idea about what we really expect from our students.
Search engines allowed me to discover that there are no limits in the information searching process, obviously we have to analyze how reliable the information is, at this point I would recommend "www.gleancomparisonsearch.org", I really like this site because my students are going to visit it all the time due to its good information.
Finally the project is going to become in something observable and easy to manage, incorporating new ways of discussion and debate.
Hello Harold,
ReplyDeleteI fully agree with the fact that we discover our limited knowledge when we are confronted with the infinite knowledge. This idea reminds me of a famous quotation(unfortunately I don't remember the author)"All I know is the fact that I don't know anything"

Hi Harold,
ReplyDeleteIt seems like most of us face the same situation. Learning new things is absolutely great!
I like your picture. It's just like a summary about the search engines we learnt this week!

Hola Harold,
ReplyDeleteThank you for writing about Comparison Search! I realize, in looking at your profile, that you're located in Peru, and that we haven't yet had a chance to translate GCS into Spanish.
Me voy a traducirlo tan pronto!
Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help make our tools useful for you & your students (get in touch, any time, through http://www.plml.org/contact )
Cheers,
